Anxiety

Anxiety,
You lied to me, you said it didn’t matter
Pity that her final answer would never leave her lips.
Remnants of memory, fragments of fantasy
When combined form my mind
Her divine figure haunts me yet keeps me alive
Striving to stay but it’s driving me insane
Anxiety, please put aside these dreams
Of me speaking the things you hid
That lie motionless deep within my subconscious
Anxiety, enough, I don’t care for her answer anymore
Already my lust has bid farewell, never to soar anymore
Liberation lands, replacing the departed despair
Anxiety, you were never there for me
You made me act too carefully
And turn my back on what was meant to be

Yours sincerely,
One whose heart has been set free
